Are YOU interested in publishing your writing here?

Excellent! I'm so glad to hear that, and your future readers will be excited, too!

First of all, a few ground rules...

1. We only publish the author's first name and last initial. This is to preserve as much anonymity online as possible, but still allow you to take credit for your fabulous writing.

2. You are required by our school district to sign an Acceptable Use Agreement before you will be permitted to have your work published here. See Ms. Mills if you're not sure whether you've signed one.

3. A writing piece you'd like to publish here will need to be as POLISHED and publishable as possible, which means that it should contain as few misspelled words and grammatical errors as possible. See me during class for help with this.

4. Obviously, a piece of writing that contains inappropriate language or content will not be accepted for publication.

5. All genres are welcome: short stories, a chapter from a novel you're writing, poetry, science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, sports fiction, personal narrative/memoir, and just for fun, even *clean* jokes and riddles! It is very likely that if a piece you're working on in class really stands out, I will encourage you to consider publishing it here!

6. I am still considering the possibility of including photographs on this blog as well, but seeing as Internet safety is of the utmost importance, this possibility will require some more serious thought.

7. If you have a writing piece you'd like to submit for publication, see me during class.
